Me of little faith: Week Project.

...I'm a Carolina girl. I love this great state and this amazing small town. I'm not suggesting any "outta towners" pack on up and move on down anytime soon. This is not an add for relocation in my lovely one stop light town.We kinda like it "small" and full of Southern charm! Fact is, I met my very first "Yankee" friend 10 years ago. That's right. Carolina girl lived a sheltered life I do suppose. My Yankee NY friend is now more like a Southern girl truth be known now! I and all the other southern girls have corrupted her sweet self. We became the best of friends and I'm the God Mother to HANDS DOWN the sweetest more gorgeous God Daughter to ever walk this earth! :) I love her more than cupcakes. Back on track to living in Carolina Country, land of milk and honey!! ;) Living here we have four fantastic seasons. Our Summers are steamy, just like I love them, and our Fall time is glorious. We do have that little season of Old Man Winter. My seven year old told me in early December that we were going to have a CAROLINA SNOW CHRISTMAS! I giggled, kindly then beat down his dream by making it clear that it was a long shot, I'd lived here forever and we had never had a "White Christmas"...and then I said all matter of fact like .."Not a Chance!!!" A week before Christmas he calmly told me again that we were going to have a White Christmas and he knew we would because he had faith. I didn't so much bash him this time as I calmly said "Don't get your hopes up Kid!'..That's not bashing? That's great parenting! :) lol! Skip to two days before Christmas and the weather, much to my shocking surprise annoucnes..."Perhaps SNOW on Christmas day!"... Bahhhhumbug says the Carolina Sun lovin' Summer girl!! That morning during our Winkler family football game came the first flakes of snow. I was shocked. Shocked! I knew it would stop!! Three hours later and a white ground covered yard later that little boy of mine tromped through the house I grew up as a little girl and I went to tell him I was so sorry and he was...gulp...so right. He said with the toothless grin he's sportin'.. "I prayed he'd send the snow and I think he said "Well sure Coop, I will send the snow to make your mom look foolish for not having just enough faith!!".... I cracked up.. then cried. ha!( * I'm at times a touch wishy washy on my emotions! Shush it!)
SO...it hasn't been a White Christmas since 1947 in my town. I would like to say that if you enjoyed it, it was brought to you on behalf of my boy and his faith in the man above...;) xo~M

"You don't have Enough faith," Jesus told them. "I tell you the truth, if you had Faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it would move.
 Nothing would be Impossible."
