Sneak Peek:Payton and Danielle

4 kids all born within 5 1/2 years and this...well this...this would be the baby. The last boy born into the Winkler family. He is and will forever be "the baby" of our family. His name is Payton.
We called him Tate for the first half of his life.
Then we somehow changed it to Pete.
Why? Well..why not. ha. I mean is it that odd that the kid brother has a nickname that means nothing  that has to with his real name to only later arrive into teen years to have a new nickname and then...to throw the boy a nephew into it at one point of his life and put a twist on things and now...Now he's basically "Uncle Pete".
Meet Uncle Pete. Not my uncle. My brother. Not Pete. Payton. Keeping up? Confused you...good. :)
Back on track.
He has a smile that can basically light up the darkest room. A soul that sparkles and a personality that makes life simply, more pleasant. He loves to tinker, loves his black Ford truck mud covered as much as he does clean, lives in the low country of SC and loves the beach life, loves to surf when they alert every fool to "DO NOT  SURF", loves his family, calls his sister to touch base weekly and never misses giving his grandmother a Sunday afternoon phone call to "catch her up", loves that his brother is his best friend and would lay down and die for his true friends he's met along the way. He loves a lot of things...none in which I've ever seen in the way that he loves...
Her.
his soul mate.
His wife to be.
His everything.
His one true love.
His rock.
His future.
His all. Meet Danielle.
She's the baby sister of our family. Loves our brother "almost" as much as we do. giggle. :) Loves laughing and dancing and backyard fires sippin' on wine at our parents house. She managed to catch more fish this past April when we all went Trout Fishin'. Beat our dad even. My dad tells that story like she's gonna be on the Fishin' Network or something to anybody who will listen. She's as prissy as they come and in blue jeans and make up off the next. She truly is the woman my grandmother has prayed for my brother to meet since the day he was born. She is...The Future Mrs.Payton Bradley Winkler.

I'm blessed to know and love them oh soooo so much.
They are the bread and butter in my world.

Just a glimpse of their engagement session. I'm holding the rest ransom. Kindly agree to name your first born child after me and I'll proof the rest. Deal? :) Ya think I'm kiddin'? I thinketh not...Just sayin'.

Random.

...in awe.
..Thank you for all your messages and text on your excitement on the blog going up again...wow. :)
Thank you as well for all your kind emails on my birthday boy.I received the sweetest emails from his post. Even complete strangers. Strangers. I have strangers who read this blog. ha. Sorry. I'm just putting the thoughts together in text..that's all. I had two emails in particular who reminded me of a post I made several years ago on our blog. The story about my grandmother, Sawyer and an angel. I promised I would post the story again and, in pictures.. I'll try to get that up today or in the morning! :)  Oh and one sweet dear gem of a lady said that her hubby of 57 years read my old blog every single morning with his coffee and that I reminded them of their daughter when she was my age. She said that he always thought I should have had my own tv show like Regis and Kelly in her email. She then went on to say that her hubby would like for me to be funnier like I use to be on my old blog. I mean, request. I've had a request to be funnier. Not a request for my photography to leave you speechless, no...that's not easy enough...nope instead simply...funnier. If that didn't start off the Monday under pressure and stuff...sheesh!! ;)
Dear Mr. Larry,
I'll see what I can do big guy!
Signed...Not so funny lately! :) ha!

Sawyer.

His name is Sawyer.
We call him Coop.
It's not his first name, it's not his middle name. It has nothing at all to even do with his name...except..
well, it was gonna be his name..and..long story short.. the big brother could not be convinced that we didn't name him "Cooper" we named him "Sawyer"..and so he called him Coop..and..well, so did we.
It stuck. Seven years later. It still fits him.
His name is Coop.
Sorta. ;)

He is his mama made over. Looks, talks and..yep, even acts like her. Loves life. Laughs with his entire body.
Loves people. People love him. Never walks..be it because he's always running or..insist to be carried. Loves food. Loves food so much that they red striped my boy this season in football. Same boy who was born 4 weeks early. Keeps me on my toes. Goes until he stops, then he sleeps. Friend to all. Fearless. Loves his brother. Dislikes his brother.  Movie lover. Music lover. Big fan of pretend. Fish when in the water. Has a chicken named "crooked toe" and a dog he has renamed "Little Ms.Britches"  His hamster is "Happy Hammie". ha. He's a touch eclectic in life. Loves animals. Dislikes babies. Why? He's the baby. Yes, even still..at seven. Favorite show is Survivor Man, slightly obsessed with fire, loves to learn, to read and draw, seriously sarcastic and crazy at times..refer to "acts" like his mama. Wants to be his brothers roommate as an adult or just live with me. Dream job: The man who catches the fish at Petsmart or a candy taste tester. Dreams big. Sorta. Knows every word to Louisiana Saturday Night, Simple Man and Wagon Wheel. All boy. My boy.

Meet my second born blue eyed boy...
I've never done anything in my life to deserve this child....
Sweet boy of mine, may you always have laughter in your back pocket, your head steady on your shoulders, a heart of gold and a smile that makes friends so easily. May you always always know that I was your biggest fan and that you were my favorite. Even...even if I tell your brother those exact same words and you ever hear them. May you always know that YOU hold the key to the world in the palm of your hands and that being picked to be your mother was the greatest gift I was ever given in life.May I always look at you and never forget that you are simply on loan and not "my child" after all....
Lastly..but most important...May you always love Jesus and fear the police. Cause I'm just sayin' .:)

Happy Seventh Sawyer.

Ps- My blog...I can post all these pictures If I wanna. ;) giggle.

Ruin my life the plans I have made

Meet Hank!

Meet Hank!

Seriously..yes, he is that stinkin' cute in person as well! :) I was thrilled to be invited to photograph this sweet boy. The Cook family quickly opened their home, allowed the photographer to "set up studio" in Hank's nursery and capture all the little details of this precious baby boy in all his sweetness!
We even added in his "big sister"...the family dog! :)
Thank you guys for allowing me to stop time..Hope to see y'all again very soon...

Brady turns ONE! :)

Meet Brady!

Brady is the little cousin to Hayden below. He had a birthday and turned ONE! His mama thought that an outdoor session would be PERFECT for Brady and she was exactly right! Is his eyes not just GORGEOUS!? These images will stop time..they will be the moments she, as his mama, will wonder and ask herself..."Was he ever really that little?" ...Can't wait to capture Brady along side his family this fall again!
A big special thanks to Sweet Brady's mama, grandparents and Aunt Trena for helping me make these smiles even brighter...:)

Hayden.

Meet Hayden....
..little boys.
I love little boys. Two year old little boys, fun..energetic..wide open..full of life....oh how I could just bottle it up kind of little boys. I just love 'em! I met Hayden one morning. We opted to shoot in his grandparents backyard. This was the best decision. Not only does Hayden LOVE his grandparents, he also felt so at ease in this surrounding...I'll also say that the best "other" option is that the backyard was beautiful! :)
Perfect location for his session...
Thank you Hayden for allowing me to capture you! :)
..and a few I captured of Hayden with his cousin and Papaw...:) Precious, right? :)

Baby Gavin.

Meet Baby Gavin....

Once upon a time so many many years ago one of my dearest friends had big dreams in life. She was one of those bestest friends that made your life look ..ehh..a bit random or..unfocused & non-goal planned to say the least! ha. She always knew exactly what she expected out of life and KNEW it would come to her. It was that sort of confidence that I admired ..and secretly yearned to obtain for myself. One day she said that when the time came and she had children several years down the road, she would have a boy and a girl..and she would name her son.."Gavin".
Meet Gavin.
even though I captured these at the first of the summer..I had to post.
Why? Look at him...why would I not?

Images by Moriah: 2010

My Favorite Image from his session...
The helmet belongs to his daddy who played semi-pro arena ball in college...
I believe that's what it was called.
Heck..
Scratch that.
He started for the Panther's their first 4 years.
Fuller.
Center Lineman.
You remember him..right?
lol.
If not..perhaps I'm confusing the past with the future...
Here's to 2030 and maybe just maybe...THIS is the Fuller boy I was speakin' of..
I love that shot...Priceless.

Image a week challenge..52 images in a year.

C.S Lewis once said.."""The future is something which everyone reaches at the rate of 60 minutes an hour, whatever he does, whoever he is."
I started a little project to capture 52 images in one year for each week...
52 weeks of captured shots in my life...
I began this on the week of my birthday...
I thought I would share over here in blog world...
Some may be pure snap shots, some more art...
the idea is that this is a moment in my life in time..a moment that I'll
have captured through an image...
It makes me wonder...if I would have set out on this journey to capture moments in my life at say, 17 years of age...how different would that time line in pictures be about the girl I was back then..
and...how at say, 70 years of age will my view of my world have shifted once more...
Makes me ponder. Makes my soul happy.

Image #- 1/52
I'll catch up this week with the other couple of weeks worth.
Thanks for checking it out..

Sweet Reese!

Meet Sweet Reese....

I met her sweet mama a few years ago and she was expecting this pretty face. I have since had the PURE pleasure of capturing her from even before she was born in "maternity portraits" to now...three years later, each birthday year as well.

Images by Moriah: 2010

HOW old are you pretty girl?

..now..if that wasn't pure bliss...
icing on the cake was that I was blessed enough to be able to capture her
little sisters first "session" as well...

...until I see your pretty face again sweet girl. be good. stay pretty. much love. xo- Ms.Moriah
